Oddly enough, my long irons. I hit my 2, 3, and 4 irons better than I do my short irons and wedges.

120 yards in, I always play from the tee shot to try and leave that yardage if I can same with the par 5's. I also love the short chip to roll close to the cup. I am 1 putting more and more because of it

# 6 on 11/2/2009 1:23:54 PM so,Brian.what drill are you doing,( One Putting ) on your putting.please share, thank you What I am really working on is chipping close to make an easy 1 putt. My local course here has a great chipping area to a green. It offers an over the bunker chip, a chip from above the green, and pitch shots from 20 yards or so. It also offers a chance to do a bump and run as well. I have been going and chipping and pitching 100 to 200 times 3 times a week. I also make the same shot with the 52 56 and 60 degree to work on touch. I found that my flaw was my chips were leaving me with long putts so that is the weekness I am trying to correct. As for putting I do the circle drill I put 5 balls around the hole from 3 feet and do it till I make 4 out or 5 then I move back to 5 feet 8 feet and 10 feet. I also practice putting by listenting instead of looking, I never look up and keep my eye on the spot the ball was and listen for it to go in the cup. |

I can hit my 3 wood like it was a pitching wedge, right down the middle every time.

Probably my clutchest shot would be my 4 Hybrid from about 190 out. I feel comfortable getting it within 2 strokes at most from there. As much as I've worked on my short game I still don't feel like I can rely on getting my wedges within a sure-fired one putt distance.

# 12 on 11/3/2009 12:04:21 PM I can hit my 3 wood like it was a pitching wedge, right down the middle every time. I just started to be able to do that too like 220 yards. Its not reliable yet but 5 out of 10 do that. My issue now is lifting to see that pretty shot!!!!! |

230+ yards with a 2 Hybrid. I can put it anywhere I want.

Putter - when I'm on the green in regulation, Par is the worst I'll do.

# 15 on 11/3/2009 1:24:09 PM I can hit my 3 wood like it was a pitching wedge, right down the middle every time. It is 49% setup/posture and 49% confidence, the other 2% is luck I guess. And don't swing too hard, just a full turn. I recently started hitting a driver with that same basic setup, choking down about 1 1/2 inches. Course I still put the old 'Bubba Watson' swing to it when I want to bang it out there and the most important thing is carry not direction. |
