Woods Misses the Cut!

In this previous weekend, Cheyenne Woods, niece of Tiger Woods was given a sponsor's exemption into the Wegmans LPGA event. The tournament was held at Locust Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY and Woods posted scores of 75-74 totaling a 5 over par for 36 holes, missing the cut by 4 strokes. This was Wood's professional debut and I wonder if there will be as much criticism over Cheyenne as there was with Michelle Wie, who also notably received sponsor's exemptions in the past. Although Cheyenne has proven to be a successful collegiate player, qualifying for every tournament Wake Forest played in as a freshman, it is easy for critics to raise eyebrows about Wood’s receiving the exemption because of her last name.
